Your Saturday Morning Downtown Connection

Ever walked past the Saturday Market Information Tent and wondered what we are selling? Well, we don’t sell anything, but we do promote the vendors at the market and downtown Murfreesboro.

The Saturday Market operates as a non-profit market under the Main Street Murfreesboro umbrella. While you’re picking up farm-fresh produce, baked treats, and handcrafted goods, our market tent doubles as your go-to downtown welcome hub. We have free downtown maps, dining guides, and schedules for all upcoming (free) Main Street events. If you’re curious about Murfreesboro in general—especially if you just unpacked your moving boxes—we’re always happy to answer your questions and help you get settled.

Promoting our historic downtown is at the very heart of Main Street’s mission. We believe there’s no better way to fall in love with downtown Murfreesboro than gathering on the square around the historic Rutherford County Courthouse on a Saturday morning. The market is designed not only to celebrate local growers and artisans, but also to invite both longtime residents and newcomers to explore the fantastic shops, eateries, and historic charm all around the square.

Whether you’re a first-time visitor exploring the square or a new neighbor looking to get plugged in, make sure to stop by our information tent to say hello, grab a map, and see what Main Street has in store for the season. And you can pick up an October customer loyalty card for the market. We can’t wait to see you on the square from 8-Noon through October 31. We are open rain or shine.

October Loyalty Cards Are Ready

There are five weeks left in our 2026 market season. October Loyalty cards are ready to pick up this Saturday. With only three visits to the market, you can be entered to win an October gift basket of products from our Saturday Market vendors. Stop by the Market Information Tent on Saturday to get your card. Our September drawing was won by Amanda Myers, who comes to the market almost every week with her family. Congratulations Amanda.

Decorations Around the Square

Thanks to Chris and Robbie Irons for donating the decorations on light poles all around the Murfreesboro downtown. They not only cut the corn stalks and brought them to town, but they worked with the city street department to tie them all up. Then, Robbie added the finishing touches with small pumpkins. Chris and Robbie have the Southland Farms vendor tent at the Saturday Market. Tell them thanks when you see them this week.

The Scarecrows Are Back

Voting starts this week for the 2026 downtown scarecrows. We will post more information, but each scarecrow has a QR code that you use to cast a vote for your favorite. Voting opens on Monday. This is the scarecrow from 2025 at City Tile.
