Murfreesboro Joins Global Make Music Day Celebration on June 21
Free Performances and Community Music-Making Events Planned Across the City
Murfreesboro will make its debut as an official Make Music Day community on Sunday, June 21, 2026, joining hundreds of cities across the United States and more than 1,000 cities worldwide in a free, day-long celebration of music.
Thanks to a sponsorship from the Tennessee Entertainment Commission, Murfreesboro is one of 30 Tennessee communities participating as charter members of the Make Music Day Alliance in 2026. The initiative expands Tennessee's presence in the global celebration and provides opportunities for residents to experience and create music throughout their own neighborhoods.
International Make Music Day originated in France in 1982.
