Saturday Market Newsletter April 7, 2026
Four Weeks Until Opening Day
Four weeks and counting down until the Murfreesboro Saturday Market opens for the 2026 season. We have all 73 vendor spots filled for opening day and a total of 95 vendors in this season's market lineup. Join us downtown on Saturday, May 2, from 8-noon for the best of everything spring: fresh lettuce varieties, strawberries, spring onions, kale, radishes, garden plants, and more. Our meat vendors offer beef, chicken, lamb, pork, and trout. Saturday Market bakers have everything from bread to pastries to fresh pizza crust and, of course, cookies. Check out our unique artisan vendors, and don't forget the market is a great place to have a cup of fresh coffee, lemonade, or fruit tea, and a "walking around snack." Put May 2 on your family calendar and invite a friend or neighbor. We are family and pet friendly, and the market is the perfect place to connect with local farmers, growers, bakers, and makers. See you on the square every Saturday through October.

The 2026 Earth Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Rutherford County’s Historic Downtown Square with fun activities for the whole family, and it's all FREE.
Rutherford County’s Earth Day Celebration is dedicated to educating and mobilizing our community toward meaningful environmental action. This year’s theme, “Go Green, Breathe Clean,” underscores the importance of protecting and improving the air we all share. The event encourages residents to embrace greener habits that reduce pollution and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable environment.
Each of us has a part to play in strengthening our community’s air quality. By working together and making mindful choices, we can reduce pollution, support sustainable practices, and ensure that everyone has access to clean, healthy air—today and for generations to come.
