Celebrating the 4th

What wouldn't be great for a 250th Celebration on the 4th of July? Imagine what you could create with peas, corn, cucumbers, onions, peaches, and watermelon! That's only part of the fun of shopping at a local farmers' market. You get what's in season, at the peak of its flavor, and you know it hasn't traveled hundreds of miles and been stacked on a shelf waiting to be sold. Every week, our farmers, growers, makers, and bakers bring you the best they are producing, in the spirit of what makes America great. It's hard work, love of the land, often generations of farming as a model, and knowing the importance of quality food that gives our vendors that something special. Celebrate the 4th this weekend and also celebrate that entrepreneurial spirit that we cherish as Americans.

Get Your July Loyalty Card this Week

Kristy Dickinson was the winner for the June Loyalty Card drawing. Congratulate Kristy if you know her. She's picking up her gift cards on Saturday. And you can pick up your July loyalty card this week. No purchase is required. Just get your July card, visit the market, and have your card punched for each week you visit the market. Three visits and you are entered in the monthly drawing for $70-$80 in gift cards from our vendors. It's our way of saying thank you to our market customers.

TN Farmers Market Trail Drawing This Month

Kaitlyn, from the Market Trail, joined us Saturday to meet Murfreesboro customers. Did you know that just by stopping at the Murfreesboro Saturday Market information tent and scanning the QR code on our poster, you can enter to win a $200 gift card this month from the TN Farmers Market Association? We are one of five Tennessee farmers markets on the new Tennessee Farmers Market Trail, that launched in May. The trail highlights five unique Middle Tennessee farmers' markets. Visit one of these markets, scan the QR code, and collect a one-of-a-kind sticker as you go. Every QR code check-in at the market gives you an entry in the drawing for the farmers market gift card. Check the poster at our information tent to scan the QR code and enter for the July gift card drawing. More July 4th Celebrations on Saturday

In addition to what you expect from our farmers' market, you can experience even more this Saturday, July 4th. There will be activities for kids, patriotic music, a scavenger hunt, tours of the courthouse museum, a history of the Declaration of Independence, and 1000 free cupcakes for the America 250th celebration. All of these activities are on the East Side of the Courthouse. You can't miss them. Events begin at 9:30 a.m.
