Saturday Market Newsletter September 5, 2026
Photography at the Market
If you come to the market this Saturday, you will see photographs by one of our part-time vendors, Howard Litvak. Howard has been with the market for four years and was recently featured in the Nashville Voyager for his photography.
Howard has traveled the world and those travels are reflected in his photographs. His collection of Highland Cattle is very popular. But, in addition to exotic images and places, he has plenty of Tennessee wildlife and scenic views. Howard brings framed prints and smaller photographs to the market when he comes, and he is more than happy to talk to you about his work. You can see his galleries online here, and you can see his work this Saturday at the market.Visit These Vendors This Week

September Loyalty Cards Are Here
September Loyalty Cards are here for you to pick up on Saturday. For those of you who don't know about this free program, you just stop by the market information tent and we will give you a card with all of the September Saturdays. Each week you visit the market, stop by our tent for a hole punch, and when you have three weeks of attendance, you are entered in the monthly drawing. It's our way of saying thank you to our market customers. The winner gets a personal shopping spree at the market with an envelope of gift cards. Each market vendor contributes to the drawing throughout the market season. The monthly envelope of gift cards is valued between $70 and $80. We had 127 cards entered in the August drawing. We will have drawings in September and October. Be sure you get your card this Saturday.
Looking for Fresh Lettuce & Salad Greens?
Our vendors are trying hard to keep up with the demand for fresh lettuces and salad greens, but you have to make that item on your shopping list a priority and get there early. For the past four weeks, vendors have sold out by 8:30 a.m. We hear the newly planted salad greens are coming along, so be patient.
Advance Ordering for Customers
Did you know that some of our vendors will accept orders for pickup at the market. Ask your favorite vendor if there is an option for ordering ahead of time for pickup on Saturdays. If you are regular shopper, this could be one way of ensuring you get that special cut of beef or lamb that you like--or even produce. This is one advantage of getting to know the farmer or baker you are buying from. Not all vendors have this option, but several do!
Don't forget-Free Parking
Customers and vendors are happy that the Bank of America parking lot, to the east just off the square is FREE parking again. For the past two years it has been paid parking only, so this change opens up opportunities for closer parking. We will see you all on Saturday.
