303 West College was once home to Cooks Service station, which opened in 1921. Cooks Service station was a full Firestone dealer (Tires, Batteries, brakes etc.). In 1929, Harvey S. Firestone announced plans for a string of super service stations all over the country. In 1930 the Firestone Company was Expecting it To Be the Greatest Year Fast forward to 1931 and Roger W. Sanders is named Manager at Cooks Service Station. A few weeks pass, and Cooks Service Station moves to a new location on North Maple. Roger Sanders leads 303 West College as Firestone Service Stores. Bridgestone acquired Firestone in 1988
