Friday Night Live on September 25 featuring "Mixtape 80's Band"
Dust off your leg warmers, grab your lawn chairs, and get ready to rewind the clock because the ultimate 80s block party is taking over the historic downtown square.
Friday Night Live is back this September 25 with an electrifying, free evening of live music, dancing, and community fun from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
Whether you are rocking full 80s neon or showing off your True Blue pride, the public square is the only place you will want to be this Friday evening.
Taking the stage is none other than Mixtape, Middle Tennessee's premier 80s tribute band.
Mixtape is dedicated to delivering all the high-energy synth, guitar solos, and unforgettable pop and rock anthems you know and love.
From dance-floor favorites to stadium-sized singalongs, Mixtape brings the decade's biggest hits to life with authentic sound, explosive energy, and nonstop fun.
Get ready to lose your voice singing every word back to the stage as Mixtape transports us straight back to the golden era of cassette decks and MTV.
Downtown Public Square closed to vehicle traffic.
With the public square completely closed to vehicle traffic, the streets transform into an open-air dance floor and community gathering space where you can kick back in your favorite lawn chair or dance the night away under the stars.
Come hungry and ready to explore, because downtown restaurants around the square will be serving up dinner, alongside local food trucks parked nearby offering sweet treats and savory bites.
It is an evening built for the whole family, filled with great neighbors, incredible tunes, and plenty of space to let loose.
Thanks to our September sponsor, Middle Tennessee State University, wear your MTSU Blue!
Thanks to the generous support of our September sponsors at Middle Tennessee State University, this community tradition remains completely free for everyone to enjoy. We couldn't do this without our PRESENTING SPONSOR, Wilson Bank and Trust, each concert month!
Show your school spirit by wearing your favorite MTSU Blue or go all out in totally tubular 80s gear—crimped hair, acid-wash denim, and neon sunglasses are always encouraged.
