Taste of Rutherford was a huge success thanks to YOU!
Taste of Rutherford is only possible because of our local restaurants!
Taste of Rutherford celebrated 25 years of bringing the community together over food to raise money for the nonprofit Main Street Murfreesboro.
This year there were more restaurants than ever providing 'bite sized food' for attendees to taste as they walked around Oakland's Mansion grounds.
Our VIP restaurants were the amazing duo from three local favorites, Five on Black, Steak House Five and Five Senses. VIP guests enjoyed their special treats with magical concoctions from our two bars and live music from the Jazz Trio inside Maney Hall from 5:00-6:00 pm.
Serving food outside to attendees from 6:00 to 8:00 pm were the following restaurants located in our historic downtown: The Alley on Main, Simply Pure Sweets, Puckett's, Slick Pig BBQ, Bart's Kitchen, Marina's on the Square, Jefferson's, and Big Bad Breakfast. Other restaurants participating from around Rutherford County included: Hi-Five Hot Dogs, CoreLife Eatery, Jo's Custom Cakes, The Hot Dog Guy (food truck), Jeremiah's Italian Ice, Andy's Frozen Custard, BB Creations (caterer), Playa Bowls, Mandy's Java Delights, Chuy's, Mission BBQ, Jim-N-Nicks, and The Parthenon Grille.
This year we had two special drink vendors attend the event. In our VIP area was a downtown speakeasy, "The Velvet Room," and also a new downtown craft beer business opening this fall, "Smackdab Brewing."
Special thanks to CNG Liquors and Julie's Bartending for the donation of our wine.
Thank you for buying a ticket and attending "Taste of Rutherford"!
Over 350 people attended this year's Taste of Rutherford event. It was a beautiful party full of our community supporters, celebrating food, drinks, and music together at the Oakland's historic mansion grounds. Despite the hot July weather and fear over rain, the attendees came with smiles and an appetite! Enjoying music during the VIP hour performed by a Jazz Trio band led by Miles Dameso, who can be found performing at the Velvet Lounge Speakeasy downtown many weekends throughout the year. Then attendees were entertained by live music from Lisa Law, with Heather Moulder & Friends.
Many thanks to the dozens of volunteers and Main Street Board members who helped make the event run smoothly!
Murfreesboro Flower Shop brought the "wow" factor to T.O.R.
