Saturday Market Newsletter August 17

Try something new this week at the market.

"Make us your downtown destination for fresh, local, and wonderful."

A Farmer's Market is the perfect place to learn about new foods and how to prepare them. If you have not used fresh herbs, several of our vendors offer a variety of herbs along with ideas for using them in the kitchen. The plus to a fresh market, is you get to meet the growers and ask them for cooking tips. This week, try something new at the Main Street Murfreesboro Saturday Market

Did you know that the sour dough breads (several vendors) make excellent French toast? Have you tried the goat cheese from Harmony Lane Farms? What about the fresh edemame from Belle Fleur Farm? Did you know TN BeanGirl has a hummus mix? The Hamery offers a smoked tenderloin. Ask the meat vendors about bones for soup, broth, and more. Do you know what a difference fresh eggs will make in a recipe? All of these folks grow and prepare food for the market--and they know food.

See you on Saturday from 8-noon. Bring a big shopping bag and be adventurous this week.

Visit these vendors at the August 17 Saturday Market.
