Chelsea German makes it her mission to bring new neighbors to the historic downtown!
Chelsea, third from right, has fun with friends at the September Sip, Shop, and Stroll event downtown. Chelsea invited her friends who had never been to the downtown shops to experience community with her and have fun shopping.
Chelsea was looking for community when she left behind her Illinois roots in August of 2022.
Chelsea German married to Kevin, with three awesome kids, moved to Murfreesboro in August in 2022, leaving behind Illinois roots and the small town of Carlinville, where the focal point of that community was the "square."
Where do you go when downtown?
"I was elated to come to Murfreesboro and discover the adorable, quaint yet bustling downtown square. I go to the square for so many services such as home decor. Mel with The Marketplace is the best! Cute clothing at Trendy Pieces, where the staff is super friendly and welcoming, is a must stop with my two daughters on a good shopping spree. I have found the best of friends at Head Trip Salon, who offer amazing services. I can find unique gifts for friends and family at the Country Gourmet. There are countless tasty coffee shops and a night of cocktails and fun on the square is a new tradition."
What is your "Why" for supporting downtown Murfreesboro?
"My why...when thinking about choosing to come downtown Murfreesboro definitely is the many great services received, but ultimately it is the people that fill my cup and provide a sense of community and connection."
