USA 250 Downtown Mural Mosaic
A community-led commemoration of America's Semi-Quincentennial
The USA 250 Mural Project is a landmark public art initiative, sponsored by Main Street Murfreesboro in partnership with Rutherford County Government and the City of Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation. The mural is designed to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary by telling the unique story of Murfreesboro and Tennessee. Through a partnership with MuralMosaic, our community will create "The Patriot’s Flag"—a massive, permanent work of art composed of 650 individual hand-painted tiles. This project transitions the 250th anniversary from a passive observation into a tangible, inclusive legacy where every resident can "leave their mark" on history.
"This is a collective masterpiece created by our community."
