Main Street Murfreesboro’s journalism intern, Taylor Pennington, recently sat down with Michael Busey, State Farm Agent and longtime downtown Murfreesboro supporter, to share the story behind his business and his connection to the community.
Michael opened his agency in 2013 with prayer, hope, and a commitment to serving others. His guiding principle is simple: treat everyone like family. A Murfreesboro native, Michael’s roots run deep downtown.
His first job was on the Square at just 14 years old, and today he continues to invest in the place that helped shape him. He believes downtown Murfreesboro remains the true hub of Rutherford County, bringing people together through business, community, and connection.
