The Market is Open from 8-Noon

Fall means a busy time around the square, and this weekend is no exception. The Saturday Market is full. We have a lineup of vendors, Lilly Schmidt (violinist) as our market musician, September passport cards, and pumpkins emerging.

The 9-11 Heroes Race is happening Saturday morning from 7:20 until 9:30 downtown, so roads will be closed downtown from 6:50 until 9:30, but we are open for business.

The Scarecrows are coming back to the square, as well as trick-or-treating around the square in October. Join us this Saturday to welcome in the fall season in Middle Tennessee.

Get Your September Passport Card

The new September Passport cards are ready for pickup on Saturday. Stop by the market information tent, get a new card, get a stamp for 9/13 and you're on your way. Bring your passport card back for three weeks in September to enter the market giveaway. No purchase is necessary. Each month, one lucky customer's card is drawn for $70+ in gift certificates from market vendors. It's our thank you to loyal market customers. Get your new card for a chance to win.

Fall Flavors from Harmony Lane

Ready for some new fall flavors? If you already love the dark and milk chocolate fudge from Harmony Lane, they are bringing their peppermint fudge to the market this week. Ask to try the pumpkin maple spice goat cheese. Tis the season for all things pumpkin spiced.

As Tennessee's oldest accredited statewide land conservancy, TennGreen has protected over 54,000 acres of land and water in our beautiful state. From beloved destinations like Cummins Falls and Rock Island State Parks to critical private conservation easements for residents, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit is dedicated to protecting land where people and nature can thrive—together.

MTSU Students Welcome to the Market

We always have MTSU students at the Saturday Market, but the MTSU Blue Raider shuttle is making it easier for them to shop at the market and explore downtown. The shuttle will transport students from campus to the public square every 30 minutes, from 9 a.m. - Noon. Students can catch the bus behind the MTSU library in the parking area. There is an MTSU scavenger hunt downtown designed for students to participate in for a chance to win prizes. The shuttle will run from September through October to give students an opportunity to enjoy the Murfreesboro downtown square and the Saturday Market. Drop off downtown is on Maple Street, across from the Saturday Market information tent.
