Seasonal Change at the Market
It might be the end of summer on the calendar, but as long as the weather stays summer-like veggies will keep growing. Our farm vendors continue to have squash, peppers, tomatoes, peas, and beans plus more summer and late summer crops. Mums are budding and ready to bloom and pumpkins are pushing for October to arrive. But now, you can also get more varieties of lettuces, cool weather crops, and the star of fall--sweet potatoes. When you shop for food that is locally grown, you also shop for food that is in season. Use this Tennessee Seasonal Produce Chart to see what food is in season in Tennessee. That means those are the foods you will find in abundance at most farmer's markets.
Shopping local means buying food that is grown close to home, not shipped around the world or across the country. Support our local farmers this fall and stock up on late season produce.

We will have broccoli, cabbage, kale, and radish sprouts. We'll be rotating out various sprout varieties throughout the weeks, but keeping the most requested sprouts (like broccoli) on the menu weekly."
Also, their microgreens products are packaged in eco-friendly packaging with recycled labels! The sprouts are indoor grown in organic soil and hand-harvested on their local family farm in Beech Grove, TN.
