This Saturday ends National Farmer's Market Week, but it won't end our mission to bring the best a farmers market can offer to visitors and customers here in Murfreesboro (and well beyond). A farmer's market is not just meat and produce. It is a marketplace that showcases the farmers, growers, makers, and entrepreneurs in Middle Tennessee.

But, we are first and foremost a farmers market, which is why 48% of our vendor spots are reserved for farmers and growers. Bakery vendors are our next largest category at 11.8% tied with local artisans (11.8%). The rest of our vendors sell prepared foods, snack/treats, ice cream, soaps and lotions, and drinks. It gives us a balanced market spread and it offers you the best products in these categories.

We asked Cary Sanders to explain the logo on his coffee business, Sanders Bros. Coffee, and we learned the family story.

"What's in a name? Our family’s history – “Sanders Bros.” was on my great-grandfather’s Livery Stable over a century ago, a reminder of our family’s values and the importance of taking care of folks," said Cary.

"We’re proud to be a local business right here in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and you’ll find us connecting with folks at the Murfreesboro Saturday Market every Saturday. Being part of this community means a lot to us, and we’re always looking to build coffee relationships with each of you."

"Our aim is pretty straightforward: to provide our community (and hopefully you!) with the best and freshest roasted coffee we can, with a whole lot of care and dedication in every batch. We’re big on quality, from sourcing specialty grade beans to our direct trade partnerships where we know we’re supporting farmers directly."
