Fresh Grits From TN Beanman
There's corn on the cob, grilled corn, corn pudding, corn salad, and then there are GRITS. When you are at the market this Saturday, check out a new product from our TN BeanGirl, Kim. It's a special product unveiling this month for Saturday Market customers.
Bryan, from TN Beanman said, "We started growing dent corn this year and spaced it to get more smaller harvests to make grits! Kim rolled them out last weekend and sold out. This week, she'll have more of the Regular Grits and Spicy Grits. Both versions are a 15 minute cook on the stovetop. The Spicy Grits have nutritional yeast for a hint of butter and the spice is from Red Aleppo Peppers that we grow - it's about the same heat as a Jalapeño but has an earthy tone and waits a little before letting you know it's there."
See more about TNBeanman products and follow news from their farm on their Facebook page.
We love sharing vendors' new products at the market. Be sure you see the MTSU Football Gourmet Peanut Butter Flavors, in partnership with T's Nuts Gourmet Peanut Butter. Shop with us this Saturday from 8-noon and check out all the fresh products at the market. Fresh-made and locally made products are the best!

MTSU Football Gourmet Peanut Butter
We love a partnership that grows out of the Saturday Market, especially if it is as tasty as peanut butter! This summer, MTSU Football student-athletes (#71 Ellis Adams, #55 Mateo Guevara, and #51 Quentin Butler) have partnered with T’s Nuts Gourmet Peanut Butter to create their own peanut butter varieties, Nana Banana and Blindside Spread, available for purchase at the MTSU Athletics Tent this week at the Saturday Market! Another fun fact--these players have worked with some of our market vendors as volunteers this season, getting to know both the vendors and market customers. Try their new peanut butter flavors and don't forget to support Blue Raider Football by purchasing tickets and attending games.
