Farmer's market shopping means getting local, fresh produce and fruit that is in season. Now is the time for fresh corn, so get it directly from our local farmers. They have several different varieties from Peaches and Cream to super-sweet bicolor sweet corn. Whichever variety you get, the taste and quality make it worthwhile.

Tomatoes are also at their prime, as are summer squashes, peppers, potatoes, and okra. Get 'em while they are fresh. And don't overlook tree-ripened peaches and fresh-picked blueberries and blackberries. 

Join us on the square from 8-Noon this Saturday for a fun shopping experience and enjoy music by Kevin Wolf. 

First Baptist on Main Street will be at the market this week collecting food to distribute to local non-profits who serve the food insecure in our community. Last year, market vendors and customers donated five truck-loads of fresh food. These volunteers then helped snap beans, shuck corn, and prepare bags of food for those in need. We hope that this year our market customers will again buy something for themselves and something to share. You can drop off your market food donations at their tent (just across from Franklin's Fruit Tea Truck).
