1st Market Passport Drawing on Saturday

This Saturday, May 31, we will be drawing for the first winner of the Market Passport card at 11:30 at the Market Information Tent. You do not have to be present to win. A total of 906 passport cards were given out this month, and from the cards submitted ONE market goer will win the May Passport prize. Included in the May giveaway are gift certificates from 416 Clay Studio, Campbell Farms, HPA Meats, Marcy Jams, Molly's Sweet Shop, and Quarter Springs Farm. Over $50 in certificates and products have been donated by our Saturday Market vendors to the May drawing as a way to say thank you to our customers.

This Saturday's sponsor is MYEYEDr. and our market musician will be violinist Lilly Schmidt. Make plans now to join us from 8-Noon around the historic Rutherford County Courthouse. The market is open rain or shine.

From the Camera Lens to Social Media

We are excited to introduce local photographer Jessica Rasmussen to our Saturday Market community. We appreciate her help with taking photos at the market. Her lively shots captured the vitality of both customers and vendors, and we will be featuring her photos on our social media posts. Jessica will be back at the market this Saturday taking more photos and at the market again this season selling her prints. Look for her at other events downtown and reach out if you are looking for a special photographer. You can find her work at Jessica Rasmussen Photography on Facebook.

Great photo of a smiling vendor at Van Horns Ice Cream & Cookies, and a terrific shot of Rita, a favorite vendor and owner of Molly's Sweet Shop on our newsletter cover.

Classy Cactus Provides 4,040 Meals to Second Harvest

Full-time Saturday Market vendor, Classy Cactus is always giving back to the community through her special events. This past week, participants at the Diamond Succulent Bar helped raise money to provide 4,040 meals to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. That’s a lot of impact—and it’s all thanks to Jill and her devoted customers.
"Thanks for your support, laughter, and love for succulents (and shiny things). We hope your arrangement is thriving and your gemstone (or diamond!) brought some sparkle to your day. You didn’t just dig for treasures—you helped us make a real difference in our community."  JILL

Fashion Accessories for Your Pets

Mehgan, at Quinntessential Creatives, is our resident fashion consultant for pets. You will find her booth at the Saturday Market almost every weekend. There is always a bowl of fresh water for doggie visitors, and this season she has introduced custom decorated bandanas for your best furry friend.

You can build your own bandana at her  Bandana Bar. Grab a denim bandana and choose as many patches as your heart desires! Want to match your fur baby? No problem! She has matching denim hats for you. Stop by and select patches that announce your pet's individuality and Mehgan will make them on site.

New Chance to Win the June Passport Drawing Starts Next Week.

Parking and Restroom Options for the Saturday Market

Murfreesboro has free parking downtown in addition to spaces around the square. Check out this map of available parking areas. Free parking is just a short walk to the market. Drop off your passengers at the market, then come back to pick them up and load your purchases. There are two parking garages one block from the public square (Civic Plaza Parking garage and County Judicial Building Parking garage).

Customer restrooms are available at the First Baptist Church "Youth Rising" building during the market hours. The building is located at the end of the block on East Main Street.  Look for signs pointing towards the bathrooms.
