Spring Produce and Local Beef for Memorial Day
This Monday is Memorial Day, and we thank all who have served our country. As you prepare for your Memorial Day celebrations, include the Saturday Market to stock up on locally grown food from our area farmers, makers, and growers. Our farm vendors have fresh, spring produce and our meat vendors have every cut of locally raised beef you need for a perfect Memorial Day celebration. Add some fresh bread, desserts, homemade pimento cheeses and chicken salad, a bouquet of flowers and you are set for a farm to table spread. If you didn't notice last week, the first of the summer squashes are coming in--perfect for grilling.
This week, we have a full lineup of vendors, music by Noelle, our sponsor State Farm Insurance (Michael Busey), and balloon art. Make plans now to join us from 8-Noon around the historic Rutherford County Courthouse. The market is open rain or shine.
Do You Have Three Dates Stamped On Your Passport?
Don't forget to bring your May passport card to the market and get your date stamped for May 24. When you have three weeks stamped, drop your card in the drawing box. This is our thank you to customers for fifteen years of support. Each month, we will draw one customer Passport Card for a basket that includes gift certificates for products from our vendors. We gave out 906 passport cards in May. You still have June, July, August, September, and October to get a card and enter the monthly drawing.

Connecting MTSU Student Athletes at the Market
Last Saturday, several players involved in the Blue Raiders Rising program, came to the Saturday Market as volunteers. They helped stock produce at the Triple A Farms tent, carry plants to cars, and stamp market passports. And, they took time to have photos made with market visitors and fans. This new program is helping the Murfreesboro Saturday Market by coordinating student-athlete volunteers to assist Market vendors and patrons. This collaboration not only enriches the market experience but also strengthens the bond between MTSU athletes and the Murfreesboro community. We look forward to seeing these athletes back at the Market on May 31.
Lunch Options Downtown
Don't overlook these downtown choices for breakfast or lunch when you come to the market. Visit your favorite or try something new. Main Street Murfreesboro and the Saturday Market encourage you to support local businesses downtown.
Parking and Restroom Options for the Saturday Market
Murfreesboro has free parking downtown in addition to spaces around the square. Check out this map of available parking areas. Free parking is just a short walk to the market. Drop off your passengers at the market, then come back to pick them up and load your purchases. There are two parking garages one block from the public square (Civic Plaza Parking garage and County Judicial Building Parking garage).
Customer restrooms are available at the First Baptist Church "Youth Rising" building during the market hours. The building is located at the end of the block on East Main Street. Look for signs pointing towards the bathrooms.
