Main Street Murfreesboro hosts a downtown business "Lunch and Learn" about scams to watch out for.


"Lunch and Learn" Workshop on April 18th scheduled for Downtown Businesses.

Downtown businesses are invited to the Main Street Murfreesboro April "Lunch and Learn" workshop, Thursday the 18th from 11:30-12:30 at the Main Street Murfreesboro building. (225 W. College Street)
These workshops are an initiative of the Economic Vitality Committee of Main Street to provide free, educational classes to downtown businesses.

Workshop focused on scams for small business owners.

This one-hour, free workshop, will be led by James Price, Regional Manager with Better Business Bureau of Central Tennessee. James will be focused on how to avoid being scammed as a small business owner and best practices for your business.  

James Price has five years' experience as the Regional Manager with Better Business Bureau; based in Murfreesboro he oversees nine counties. He manages close to 1000 BBB Accredited Business Accounts.  

James spent 30 years with RadioShack. Over 20 years as a district and regional manager in markets across the US and on both coasts. He has managed markets with more than $80 Million in top line Revenue with double-digit net profit results. Nationally recognized with the company more than 30 times with awards for sales and profit results.  With RadioShack he delivered training classes on sales and operations management. Worked with cross functional teams to develop programs for sales training, customer experience, and employee engagement to exceed company standards, performance, and customer expectations. Excels at formulating and implementing strategies to drive operational excellence, attract and promote talent, share best practices, promote teamwork, and maintain a staff of top performers by building relationships and ensuring accountability. He has a degree in Business Management and has spent more than 500 hours in the classroom with Dale Carnegie as an instructor and coach.
