Main Street's Taste Of Rutherford Event
Join Us For Main Street's Annual Fundraiser
Main Street’s annual fundraising event “Taste of Rutherford” is to be held Saturday, July 22nd from 6-9pm at Oakland’s Mansion grounds.
Approximately 25 restaurants will spread out on the Oakland’s grounds to serve tastings of their delicious foods, the Mid-State Brew Crew will be serving craft beer, and live music will be performed by The O’Donnells. VIP area in the back of Oakland’s Mansion will provide special food from Chuy’s Restaurant along with a private bar and tours of Oakland’s Mansion. Julie’s Bartending and Uncle Nearest Whiskey will be providing drinks.
The event is from 6-9pm and general admission tickets are $50, VIP tickets $100. VIP tickets include a signature tasting glass and access to the Craft Beer Garden for tastings. Tickets can be purchased on line www.mainstreetmurfreesboro.org/taste-of-rutherford.
Restaurants participating include: City Café, Slick Pig BBQ and Jo Jo’s Fruit Tea, Marina’s On The Square, Simply Pure Sweets, Chick-Fil-A, The Hot Dog Guy, BB Creations, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Chuy’s, Lasagna Love, The Tasting Room, The Alley on Main, O’Flow Brews & Bakes, Embassy Suites Restaurant, TN. Meat Co., Doodles Kitchen, Jim-N-Nicks, Slim+Husky’s Pizza, Mission BBQ, Cajun Steamer, Three Mothers, Tasty Table, and the Soda Shoppe by Tasty Table.
Craft beer vendors include: Mid-State Brewsters, Mos Alesly, Vitruvian Artisan Ales, Cedar Glades, Thompson Brood, Dirty Bird Brew Co., From The Garage Home Brewing, Illuzion Meads, FatFinger, and Deep South Growlers. Julie’s Bartending will be serving wine donated by Murfreesboro Wine and Spirits and cocktails. Uncle Nearest will be serving signature whiskey drinks.
This Year’s Entertainment
This year’s entertainment at Taste of Rutherford is The O’Donnells. Well known for performing at Hank’s Honky Tonk in Murfreesboro, this band is has been playing all of your favorite country tunes for years.
Located in the VIP area at Taste of Rutherford will be violinist and fiddler, Sophia Buck, known best for debuting at the Murfreesboro Saturday Market, Sophie provides amazing background tunes for any event! We are excited to have her join the VIP area during Taste of Rutherford this summer.
Attendees can enter the event starting at 5:45pm with food served from 6-8pm. Come anytime during that two-hour time slot and enjoy tastings including smoked wings, fajitas, lasagna, pork tenderloin, meatloaf to specialty cookies, mini cannolis, lavender vanilla panna cotta with berry coulis and classic shortbread crumble, chicken salad, pimento cheese, pasta, whipped feta with olives….I could get going…..
Make your way around all of the food tents, visit the craft beer garden with ten vendors giving tastings of their specialty drinks, stop by Uncle Nearest for a taste of their whiskey mixed drinks, and sit down (or get ready to dance) and be entertained by our musical talent until 9pm! Free tours inside Oakland’s Mansion, a photo booth to get your picture, and lots of places to hang out while you enjoy this fundraising event called “The Summer Party” hosted by Main Street Murfreesboro.
