Saturday Market Newsletter August 22, 2026

Look for Market Finds

A farmer's market is the perfect place to discover hard-to-find food items. Take your time this week and explore vendor tables. You'll discover quail eggs by the dozen at CannaPham Farm. Duck eggs are on the table at T & J Farm. And if you are looking for farm-fresh eggs, we have those too. Remember muscadines? You can find them at Triple A Farm. This week starts fresh fig season for the MTSU Small Farm. Do you love grits? Try the grits from TN Beangirl if you want fresh. Look for pickled okra, asparagus, & beets or homemade tomato sauces and hot sauces lined up on vendor tables. If you like fresh peppers (hot or mild), then check out the many varieties our farm vendors are offering. Have fun at the market this week and discover something new. (Those are quail eggs in the photo by the way.)

Two More Weeks In August

There are two more weeks in August for you to get your loyalty cards punched. No purchase is required. Just bring your August card, visit the market, and have your card punched for each week you visit the market. Three visits and you are entered in the monthly drawing for $70-$80 in gift cards from our vendors. It's our way of saying thank you to our market customers. You can have a personal shopping spree at the market with your envelope of gift cards if you are the winner at the end of the month.

Market Roundup for August 22

Cooler weather is forecast for this Saturday's market, so join us on the square from 8-Noon. Enjoy a fresh-baked pastry or ham and biscuit, a cup of freshly brewed coffee and check out the vendor lineup for this weekend.

Don't forget-Free Parking

Customers and vendors were happy that the Bank of America parking lot, to the east just off the square is FREE parking again. For the past two years it has been paid parking only, so this change opens up opportunities for closer parking. We will see you all on Saturday.
