Saturday Market Newsletter Sept. 14
Promoting Local Growers at our Farmer's Market
"Make us your downtown destination for fresh, local, and wonderful."
If you like beans, have you ever tasted the difference in locally grown and dried beans and the plastic bags of beans you buy at the grocery? Did you know we have a local bean farmer at our market? TN BeanGirl, otherwise known as Kim, brings an assortment of dried beans (no two years on the shelf here) as well as gluten free flours, mixes, and oatmeal. The Saturday Market promotes locally grown products and highlights local farmers who bring those products directly to you through the market and online. Once you taste the difference in fresh, dried beans, you won't pick up those plastic bags again! The same is true of fresh produce from any of our farm vendors. Buy fresh, buy local, buy healthy.
See you on the square Saturday morning from 8-noon for the market. Remember, the market is open rain or shine. Picked produce and baked goods can't wait for another day!
